Leadership Seminar
November 21st 2009
Once again ABATE Officers from all over the state gathered to learn what the newest information they needed to make 2010 a successful year. Included in the Seminar were the usual do's and don'ts with a major new one. It seems that Door Prizes are a form of gaming and until the office gets the definitive answer on the issue - should be avoided. Other then that it was good to see that the Indy Traffic Police do not write violations for Handle Bar Height. That is just one of the topics that we plan to bring up in the future at the Statehouse. There were breakout sessions with the AMA (a chance to see what is coming our way in the future), Officer Training and Publications (One of My Favorites). The State Office did a good job trying to hit home many of the ideas needed without making it too boring or turning it into a circus. A little bit of levity can help break the ice on the touchy subjects and clear the air on others. It was another fine job that the puts ABATE of Indiana above many of the others, something that should be carried throughout the state in 2010. Thanks to the State Office and our Speakers.
